Abbey House Museum, once the gatehouse to the now ruins of Kirkstall Abbey, is set in one of the most picturesque areas of Leeds. With this Grade II listed building having such a colourful history. The upper first floor has been known to hear the sound of something being dragged and objects being thrown. The very top floor, known as the Abbots’ room, is said to be the place that a lone monk likes to reside, with shadows, touch and groans being witnessed.
