Sitting in the shadows of Kirkstall Abbey is the Abbey House Museum. A grade II listed building that was once the gatehouse to the Abbey itself. The museum is no stranger to ghostly activity, from dark shadows seen on the Victorian street, strange knocking and tapping in the children’s area, and an unknown monk in the Abbot’s room.

LEEDS CITY MUSEUM
Leeds City Museum – Leeds Ghost Hunts
First opening its doors as a museum in 1819 and branded as a Philosophical Hall, it wasn’t until 1821 that it opened to the public. It’s been reported by museum staff that moving shadows have been seen with doors opening and closing all on their own. There have also been reports of an ancient Egyptian Priest walking the corridors.

A stunning grade II listed building with a backdrop of being having a harsh working conditions of the former workhouse union which accommodated over 700 paupers. Thackray Medical Museum has plenty of ghostly activity. Dark shadows, the touch of invisible hands, and children seen running in the corridors. This location is one not to be missed!
