THACKRAY MEDICAL MUSEUM GHOST HUNTS
Thackray Medical Museum ghost hunts are like two sides of a coin. On one side you can encounter the most playful ghostly activity, on the flip side you can experience the dominant energies from the buildings days as a harsh workhouse
THE LOCATION
Thackray Medical Museum was originally one of the largest workhouses in Leeds. The Grade II building is situated on the grounds of the world famous St. James Hospital, and this location has a real story to tell once the lights go out.
The workhouse was opened in 1861, designed to take over 700 paupers. The working conditions would have been tough and gruelling. Over the years, the life of the workhouse began to fade, shifting towards being used as a hospital before arriving at its final resting place as being a museum for medicine.
PARANORMAL ACTIVITY
Thackray Medical Museum is bursting with the haunted life. Staff and visitors frequently report sightings of children running around the corridors, voices being heard, and doors opening and closing seemingly on their own. It is even said that there is one particular entity that has links to another famous Leeds venue who often makes themselves known.
